Most superhero movies are predicated on the idea that some people are born special or born interesting. Modern people gladly identify with this idea because they are lazy and hate the idea of making themselves worthy of something higher, nobler.

Reading wise books can make you wise. Reading stupid books will rather quickly make you stupid. Reading exciting books won’t make you an exciting person, though. It will make you dull. And watching sexy movies won’t make you sexy. That’s the difference between spiritual qualities (wisdom) and sensual qualities (excitement).

Went to The Richmond Pinball Collective today. A month long family pass is only sixty USD. That’s a lot of pinball for very, very little money. It’s run by a bunch of volunteer pinball enthusiasts.
